Preludes . . . and Fugues: Music for Harpsichord played by Colin Booth - [SBCD-225] $16.98

Harpsichordist Colin Booth explores Preludes, including some that represent a musical genre of stand-alone pieces that have become a genre in their own right. He also explores Fugues which stand alone or are paired with Preludes. On this CD of 19 tracks, most of the Preludes and Fugues are stand-alone pieces which alternate in their position in the program, thus suggesting pairings which work musically, even though they are by different composers and even from different times.
