Jaromir Weinberger Organ Works - [ACD-2054] $16.98

Czech composer Jaromír Weinberger (1896-1967) lived in the US from 1938, escaping Nazi threats to Jews, and became a US citizen in 1948. He was famous for his opera scores of the 1920s, including "Schwanda, the Bagpiper," and other well-known pieces, such as the church cantata for soprano and organ, "The Way to Emmaus." His organ works are played by Beatrice-Maria Weinberger (no relation) on the 1925 Anton Feith organ restored in 1979 by Karl Schuke Berliner Orgelbauwerkstatt, with a few additions, now 3 manuals and 54 stops at the Catholic Church of St. Mary in Berlin, Germany.
