Roman Summereder, professor at the University of Music and the Performing Arts in Vienna where he studied organ with Anton Heiller in the 1970s, records a third volume of organ music by the prolific Austrian, Johann Nepomuk David (1895-1977), on the 4-manual "Bruckner organ" in the Stiftsbasilika in St. Florian, Austria, which is long associated with David and his music. That organ was first built in 1774 by F. X. Chrismann, then greatly rebuilt in 1875 by Matthäus Mauracher, then in 1932 by Gebr. Mauracher, and again in 1951 by W. Zitka, and more recently in 1996 by Orgelbau Kögler of St. Florian, who continue its maintenance.  The 28-page CD booklet includes notes on the composer, organist, and organ in German and English with stoplist and photographs.
