Ruben Johannes Sturm realizes 33 improvisations for the liturgical year on 97 ranks of organs at the Catholic cathedral of Rottenburg, Germany, where he served as organist 2009-2022 and professor of organ at the University of Church Music before his appointment in 2022 as organist of the Frauenkirche in Munich. The large mechanical-action organ in the West gallery at Rottenburg St. Martin Cathedral organ was built in 1979 by Hubert Sandtner of Dillingen/Donau with 63 stops. The 2m, 14-stop Choir organ by Sandtner was added in 2003-07, and the two organs became playable together, electrically, from a chancel console in 2013.
