Czech Organ Music of the 19th & 20th Centuries - [ACD-2021] $16.98

Markéta Schley Reindlová plays 19th- and 20-century Czech organ music on the organ at St. Martin’s Church, Dudelange, Luxembourg. Built in 1912 with 45 speaking stops and three pedal extensions by Georg Stahlhuth (1830-1913) and his son Eduard Stahlhuth (1862-1916) of Aachen, Germany, they successfully incorporated French and English characteristics into a German romantic organ, defending this blending by citing Albert Schweitzer’s opinions.  After the organ was disfigured by neo-Baroque modifications in 1962, it was restored in 2002 including almost all of the original Stalhuth ranks and the original cone-valve windchests with enlargement to 78 speaking stops by the Thomas Jann firm of Laberweinting, Germany. The 24-page CD booklet includes the stoplist and photos of the organ, text on the music and performers in English, German, and Czech. Imported by Raven.
