Christophe Mantoux plays the 1890 Cavaillé-Coll in the Abbey Church of St. Ouen in Rouen, France, in this famous recording, now with more of Alain's organ works added to the program which is newly produced by Raven as a 2-CD set. In its original production as a single CD, this recording received a Grand Prix du Disque. This 2-CD set is newly edited and mastered with more of Alain's organ works added to the program for which there was insufficient space in the original release. The single CD appeared in 1992 on the small French label, Studio SM, and was reissued in 2009 on the Motette label. (Germany).
