Damin Spritzer records organ music of the Alsatian-American who immigrated to St. Louis, Missouri, from France at age 21 in 1904 and live a career as a well-respected midwestern American organist. He composed some 180 works for organ, more than 70 of them published before WWII. Spritzer explores the works on three CDs, two recorded in France on Cavaillé-Coll organs and one recorded in Denver on the glorious Kimball at St. John's Cathedral, the first recording following the organ's restoration and enlargement. Each volume is available individually for $15.98 or all 3 volumes for $29.95 (save $18). Raven Becker set.
