Pier Damiano Peretti plays compositions of Thomas Daniel Schlee, born 1957 in Vienna. His organ teachers include Friedrich Lessky, Michael Radulescu, and Jean Langlais. He studied composition with Messiaen, Francis Burt, and Erich Romanovsky. Recorded at Ste-Trinité, Paris, on the organ built 1868-71 Cavaillé-Coll/1965 Beuchet-Debierre/1966 Picaud. The 28-page CD booklet in English and German includes a biography of the composer, notes on the music, history and stoplist of the organ (including a lengthy description of it and its changes written by Messiaen and published in 1980).
